Conceived and implemented in the memory of Hugh Crittenden, who acted as caretaker
for decades
The pioneer stone project is a project to mark each unmarked grave with a pioneer
stone in order to preserve historical data and promote interest in the younger generation,
thereby helping the preservation of the cemetery as a whole, for generations to come.
These stones were fabricated and placed by descendants of Neill and Jenett McKinnon.
